CleverPsych Update Instructions
If you download a new version and install it the two folders
C:\CleverPsych and C:\CleverDemo will be replaced. Also, your database
in the C:\CleverData folder could be extended to support new features.
You probably do not need to re-install Java.
We recommend the you be paranoid and do the following before installing
the new version so you can revert
to the current system if there are any new problems:
- Take the opportunity to back up your system.
- Rename C:\CleverPsych and C:\CleverDemo (we usually put the date
on the end)
- Make a copy of C:\CleverData
After installing the Demo system will start so you can see
what new features have been added.
You may find that you need to update you configuration files, in
particular the config\Configuration.txt file in your CleverData folder
from the version in the new CleverDemo folder.
There could also be new letters and a new example template available in
the template folder.

information.
After installation you need only
start CleverPsych from the usual icon.
This will use the new version of the software but continue using your
CleverData folder for the database etc.
